than anything else, the ability to add hands-on operating expertise
and strategic perspective, to create enduring value in a business,
is what distinguishes Andlinger & Company. We take a controlling position in acquired businesses. We are singularly committed to building businesses; to helping them grow, expand and improve. We seek to align our goals with the interests of the business, its managers, stockholders, employees, and the community in which the business resides. To encourage the management team we establish compensation programs tied to operating performance, and containing equity participation. While we always encourage internal growth, we believe that success in many industries invariably demands external growth. This is accomplished most often through follow-on acquisitions of strategic “missing pieces.” |
